TYPES OF COUNSELING OFFERED
Individual Counseling may include any or all of the following: gaining a new perspective on relationships, learning how to cope better with stress, breaking bad habits, processing past trauma, and developing skills to handle future problems.
Marriage counseling is focused on resolving conflicts effectively and building stronger communication and relationship skills. Whether you're facing divorce or looking to take your marriage to the next level, marriage counseling can help you and your loved one take the next right step. We also provide premarital counseling.
Child and Adolescent Counseling
Our counselors are trained to help your child or teenager walk through the difficult transitions of early life. Using techniques such as play therapy and sand tray therapy as well as basic relationship skills training, our counselors are trained to help your child grow into maturity and wellness.
The focus of family counseling is to build a stronger family dynamic. Topic addressed include: better communication skills, dealing with conflict, setting healthy boundaries with your children, and/or learning to live as a blended family.
MARRIAGE & FAMILY WORKSHOPS
COF Marriage and Family Workshops are designed to bring specific teaching to larger groups of people. Some examples of workshop topics include: Raising Your Kids in the Digital Age, Raising Teenagers, and Love and Respect in Your Marriage. These workshops are offered periodically onsite at Community of Faith on weekends and weeknights. Offsite workshops can be structured and customized to fit the specific needs of your organization.
